Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to neuro PCU patients
• Perform focused neurological assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
• Manage telemetry monitoring and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses thoroughly and accurately

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience, preferably in Neuro or PCU
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience with telemetry/pacu or PCU care
• Able to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to travel assignment logistics

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of neurological conditions and post-acute neuro care
• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV therapy and medication administration expertise
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment abilities
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management
