Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality physical therapy care to orthopedic and general outpatient patients
• Assess patient function, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress toward goals
• Use evidence-based interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
• Document assessments and treatment sessions accurately and timely in the medical record
• Provide clear discharge planning and patient education to support long-term recovery
• Cover occasional weekend needs when surgical schedules require it

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain licensure promptly
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in orthopedics/outpatient physical therapy preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to work the posted day schedules and occasional Saturday coverage

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthopedic evaluation and treatment
• Skilled in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, and functional training
• Comfortable with standard outpatient documentation and EMR workflows
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers clearly and empathetically
• Time management skills for efficient caseload management
