Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate neonatal nursing care in the NICU
• Assess and monitor neonatal patients, interpreting vital signs and lab data
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate and support families during their infant's hospitalization
• Perform and document treatments, medication administration, and procedures safely
• Escalate changes in patient condition promptly and participate in shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina license or compact eligible)
• Minimum 2+ years of NICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required; NRP certification strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented NICU environment
• Current immunizations and healthcare onboarding requirements as applicable

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neonatal assessment and ventilator/respiratory support basics
• Skilled in IV/line maintenance, medication administration, and newborn stabilization
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Family-centered care approach and ability to teach caregivers
