Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, family-centered neonatal nursing care in the NICU setting
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients, identify changes in condition, and act decisively
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Perform and document clinical interventions, medications, and treatments accurately and timely
• Educate and support families on infant care, feeding, and discharge planning with compassion
• Participate in unit quality improvement efforts and uphold safety and infection-control standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in accordance with state requirements (or compact license where applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (as indicated)
• Recent NICU experience or strong neonatal clinical background
• Current BLS certification (and facility-required neonatal certifications as applicable)
• Ability to work overnight shifts and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced critical-care environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in neonatal assessment, monitoring, and interventions
• Familiarity with ventilators, monitoring equipment, and neonatal medication administration
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in high-acuity situations
• Effective communication with families and interdisciplinary team members
• Comfort with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
