Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and ensure safe, accurate dispensing during the night shift
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to optimize patient pharmacotherapy
• Prepare, compound, and distribute medications with attention to sterility and safety
• Perform medication reconciliation and maintain clear, accurate documentation
• Provide patient counseling and medication guidance when appropriate
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in Florida or eligibility to obtain prior to assignment
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience (as stated in the posting)
• Current BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to complete HCA credentialing and onboarding requirements

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication safety principles and error prevention strategies
• Therapeutics and pharmacology across acute care settings
• Experience with computerized order entry and pharmacy information systems
• IV admixture/compounding and sterile technique knowledge
• Clear, collaborative communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Efficient time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
