Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly and timely
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and protocols
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and handoffs
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) in good standing
• 2+ years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience (as stated in job details)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to work night shift hours and collaborate in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Professional communication skills and commitment to patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med-Surg clinical knowledge and best practices
• Proficient with patient assessments and care planning
• Skilled in medication administration and monitoring
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Effective teamwork, communication, and time-management abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to patient needs
