Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize ventilator settings for critically ill patients to ensure safe, effective respiratory support
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results to guide treatment decisions
• Assist with bedside bronchoscopy procedures and provide skilled respiratory support during interventions
• Document respiratory assessments and treatments accurately using Meditech
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary ICU team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Monitor and troubleshoot PB840, PB980, Bipap V60, Hamilton C1 and MR1 ventilators and non-invasive devices
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapy plans and equipment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (ICU/ventilator management preferred)
• Comfortable functioning independently in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Experience with bedside bronchoscopy and ABG interpretation preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation preferred; prior travel experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced ventilator management and weaning strategies
• Proficiency with ventilators: PB840, PB980, Hamilton C1, MR1 and non-invasive devices like Bipap V60
• ABG sampling and interpretation
• Bedside bronchoscopy support and airway management
• Electronic medical record documentation (Meditech)
• Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills in ICU settings
