Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care nursing to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic, ventilator, and cardiac data to guide care
• Administer medications and titrate drips safely following facility protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Perform frequent assessments and communicate changes promptly to providers and families
• Mentor and support colleagues to promote a positive, patient-centered unit culture

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (NC license or compact RN license recommended)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CCRNs or other critical care certifications preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and IV/line management skills
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-acuity settings and collaborate with teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency with arterial lines, central lines, and titratable infusions
• Skilled in rapid assessment, prioritization, and crisis management
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documentation best practices
