Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varied days), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with patience and respect
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Perform safe patient transfers and mobility assistance following facility protocols
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control practices and promote a clean, safe environment
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Valid ability to work 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts and pick up per diem assignments
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing and personal care procedures
Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observations
Ability to document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team
Understanding of infection prevention and facility safety protocols
