Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
• Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to licensed nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Document care activities accurately and timely in resident records
• Support mealtime assistance and bedside feeding when needed
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Demonstrated experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic eldercare principles and ADLs
• Ability to take and record vitals and observe condition changes
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Basic infection control and hand hygiene practices
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a care team
• Good documentation and time-management skills
