Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU with precision and compassion
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips and manage advanced hemodynamic support
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment while maintaining patient safety standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and execute care plans
• Provide clear education and emotional support to patients and their families during recovery
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant cardiac ICU experience (as listed in the posting)
• Current, up-to-date clinical skills in critical care nursing and patient assessment
• Comfort working in a fast-paced CVICU environment and collaborating with specialty teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiothoracic critical care knowledge specific to CVICU patients
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and post-op cardiac management
• Ability to manage advanced monitoring devices and ICU equipment
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills
