Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate med/surg nursing care to adult patients, monitoring conditions and responding promptly to changes.
Perform thorough patient assessments, implement nursing plans, and evaluate outcomes to ensure excellent patient recovery.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately while following facility protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, therapists, and support staff—to coordinate patient-centered care.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, discharge plans, and self-care to promote recovery and prevent readmission.
Document patient care activities and clinical observations clearly and timely in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Montana (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or available upon hire.
Previous med/surg nursing experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong med/surg clinical knowledge: post-op care, wound care, medication administration, and IV management.
Proficient with electronic health records (documentation accuracy and timeliness).
Skilled in patient education, care planning, and discharge coordination.
Comfortable prioritizing multiple patients and tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities.
