Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Night (days vary based on staffing needs)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
Maintain clear, timely documentation of resident care and observations
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Help create a welcoming, dignified environment that respects resident preferences

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Demonstrated compassion, strong communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Reliable attendance and ability to work evening shifts as needed

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills including vital signs, ADL assistance, and safe patient handling
Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
Strong interpersonal skills for resident- and family-centered communication
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
