Shift Type: Night schedule: 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (night shift). Role may be on a rotating 12D/N contract with shift assignments assessed every 4-week scheduling period. Orientation: Week 1 Mon-Fri days; Week 2 36 hours on-unit with a preceptor. Weekends: variable based on unit needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patients via telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to guide timely interventions
• Provide skilled oncology nursing care across the cancer care continuum, from treatment to end-of-life support
• Administer therapies and supportive care safely, following infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Manage central lines, perform central line blood draws, and start/maintain IVs with competency
• Respond to cardiac monitoring alerts and participate in emergency response when needed
• Document care accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed to support patient care and unit needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license (per state requirements) — please have your licensure ready
• BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required (must meet within the 3 most recent years); at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
• Telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• ONS Chemo certification preferred but not required
• IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line management, and blood product administration preferred
• Comfort with infection prevention practices and working with adult and geriatric oncology populations
• Willingness to learn, grow, and float to other MedSurg Oncology units

• Familiarity with Alaris pumps, GE B450 telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and Stryker beds
