Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams across a broad caseload including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine and musculoskeletal studies
• Operate Siemens Avanto, Siemens Sola and GE Premier MRI systems with confidence and safety
• Use PACS (Visage) and EPIC for accurate image management and charting
• Apply advanced imaging techniques such as diffusion, perfusion, spectroscopy, gradient echo, MIP and MPR to support diagnostic teams
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs when required
• Work independently on third shift, prioritizing patient safety and efficient throughput across three MRI rooms
• Communicate clearly with patients of all ages—adolescents, adults and geriatrics—to ensure comfort and understanding during procedures
• Maintain compliance with BLS and ARRT credentialing and facility workflow

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years MRI experience required
• Competency on Siemens Avanto and Sola and GE Premier is a must
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER and community hospital settings required
• Familiarity with EPIC and Visage (PACS) for charting and image review
• Contrast administration and peripheral IV skills preferred
• Traveler-friendly: first-time travelers are accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI physics and protocols including T1, T2, spin echo and gradient echo
• Proficiency with advanced imaging: diffusion (non-brain), perfusion, spectroscopy, MIP and MPR
• Hands-on experience with surface coils and peripheral MR angiography
• Comfortable with image post-processing and generating diagnostic-quality studies
• Experience managing high daily caseloads and three-room MRI operations
• Skilled in patient safety, positioning and communication across age groups
