Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams independently during the overnight shift, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Operate GE and Siemens CT scanners and manage image acquisition, including advanced protocols
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely, including starting peripheral IVs when needed
• Execute advanced procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, brain perfusion studies and vascular CTA with precision
• Use PACS and post-processing tools (including multiplanar reconstruction) to produce diagnostically useful images
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate results to the care team in a timely manner
• Triage and manage emergent imaging needs in an acute care environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary staff

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Washington state license required (active WA License)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience in acute care imaging (1st-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years)
• Comfort working independently on overnight shifts and responding to call
• Experience with GE and Siemens CT scanners and PACS systems
• Competence in contrast administration and peripheral IV insertion

Education

• ARRT (Radiography) certification (ARRT R)
• CT certification (ARRT CT)
• BLS certification
• Washington state radiologic technologist license

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills operating GE and Siemens CT equipment
• Strong PACS workflow and image post-processing (multiplanar reconstruction/MPR)
• Contrast media preparation and administration techniques
• Peripheral IV insertion and vascular access for contrast delivery
• Special procedures knowledge: biopsies, aspirations, brain perfusion and vascular CTA
• Acute care imaging experience and patient management overnight
