Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) echocardiograms with accuracy and attention to detail
• Carry out stress echoes (pharmacologic and treadmill) and diagnostic bubble studies for stroke-center patients
• Complete bedside inpatient exams competently and compassionately across adult and pediatric populations
• Adhere to IACE accredited lab standards and contribute to maintaining accreditation quality
• Document patient encounters and imaging results in EPIC, ensuring clear and timely charting
• Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while maintaining excellent time management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for complex cases including TAVR, Watchman, and cardiomyopathies
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (GE, Philips, PACS) and perform portable studies when needed

Qualifications

• Required: CLS and CCI RCS certification
• Preferred: ARDMS RDCS PE and RDCS Peds certifications
• BLS certification preferred/required as noted by facility
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience in Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, and Emergency Department settings required; Pediatric experience preferred
• Prefer exposure to working in an accredited lab (IACE guidelines)
• Comfortable with EPIC charting and working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in TTE, TEE, Stress Echo (pharmacologic and treadmill), and Bubble Studies
• Skilled with pediatric and adult echo modalities, including 3-D echo and complex anomaly scanning
• Familiar with equipment and systems: GE, Philips, PACS, EPIC
• Experience with imaging with contrast agents, M-Mode, RVIT/RVOT assessments, and diastology
• Ability to perform portable and bedside inpatient exams with excellent time management
• Understanding of procedures related to TAVR, Watchman, severe valve disease, cardiomyopathies, and endocarditis
• Strong documentation and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
