Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to inform individualized care plans
• Facilitate meaningful individual, family, and group therapy sessions that support patient recovery
• Lead and contribute to daily treatment team meetings to coordinate integrated care
• Document patient progress and care plans accurately in Cerner
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, APPs, nurses, and behavioral health techs to ensure continuity of care
• Provide discharge planning and community resource linkage to support successful transitions

Qualifications

• Master's in Social Work or a related master-level clinical degree (required)
• Current and active license to practice in North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, MFT, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant clinical experience working in mental health or behavioral health settings
• CPI and BLS certifications required
• Experience with Cerner documentation preferred
• Comfort working in a pediatric mental health unit and adhering to a firm Monday-Friday schedule

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work or related master-level clinical field (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical assessments and treatment planning for psychiatric patients
• Experience facilitating family sessions, individual therapy, and group therapy
• Working knowledge of inpatient psychiatric workflows and patient ratio management
• Proficient with electronic health records, specifically Cerner
• Strong communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to organize caseload, prioritize tasks, and document clearly and timely
