Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality orthopedic and trauma surgical nursing care with confidence and compassion
• Assess and monitor post-op and med-surg patients, promptly recognizing changes and escalating when needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate excellent patient care
• Perform safe medication administration, IV therapies, and wound management according to policy
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and complete required skills checklists
• Support patient and family education on procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
• Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Uphold professional standards, maintain certifications, and participate in ongoing competency development

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys verification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in orthopedic/trauma surgical nursing in a similar size setting
• Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) RN experience as noted in the job description
• Complete work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Provide skills checklist, references, and certification card as part of your profile
• Ability to upload full demographic info and a badge-appropriate picture

• Strong orthopedic and trauma surgical nursing skills
• Solid medical-surgical (Med/Surg) foundation
• Post-operative care, wound care, and mobility/traction management
• Patient assessment, critical thinking, and timely escalation
• Clear interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
• Accurate documentation and compliance with licensing/verifications
