Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards
• Operate imaging equipment and process/transmit images to PACS accurately and promptly
• Serve as the first-line interface with patients and clinical teams to meet imaging needs
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities to support patient safety
• Adhere to HFAP/TJC/CMS and State and Federal regulations in all imaging practices
• Assist with venipuncture as required for imaging procedures when certified
• Support documentation and maintain proficient computer-based workflows

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT-R (required)
• BLS (AHA) / BCLS current certification
• Obtain fluoroscopy permit from CDPH within 6 months of hire
• Obtain venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT or ABHES)
• At least one year of Radiology Technologist experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with State and Federal regulations

Education

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic Radiography techniques and procedures
• Fluoroscopy operation and safety principles
• PACS image processing and transmission workflows
• Venipuncture for imaging-related procedures (once certified)
• Participation in PI/QC initiatives and quality assurance
• Understanding of HFAP, TJC, CMS, and CDPH regulatory requirements
• Strong patient communication and customer-service orientation
