Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients — your assessments save lives
• Continuously monitor and interpret hemodynamics, ventilators and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and therapies safely and according to protocols
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and codes
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Float to acute floors as needed to support unit staffing and patient flow
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and complete required competency testing
• Support patient and family education with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active RN license with ability to verify credentials (license/certificate verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated ICU nursing experience; comfort with critical care patient population
• Willingness to float to acute floors when needed
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Required health clearances and immunizations (fit test, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, physical/health statement)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making
• Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
• Proficient medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Familiarity with stroke assessment (NIHSS) and acute stroke care protocols
• Excellent communication, teamwork and crisis management skills
• Competency with electronic health record documentation and unit workflows
