Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and reconcile medications to ensure safe, accurate dosing for every patient
• Perform sterile compounding and use Dose Edge for verification of sterile IVs
• Provide vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee Pyxis checks and first dose issuance
• Manage medication verification workflows within Meditech EMR to support clinical teams
• Support pain consults and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize therapy
• Maintain unit standards, adhere to policies, and champion medication safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) (required)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience (as indicated)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient pharmacy workflows and medication verification best practices
• Sterile compounding procedures and Dose Edge verification
• Experience with Pyxis and Pak Edge automated systems
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for order entry and documentation
• Clinical dosing knowledge for vancomycin, aminoglycosides and anticoagulants
• Strong supervisory and team leadership skills for managing technicians
