Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, family-centered critical care to pediatric ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret complex physiological data and respond to changes promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Administer medications, manage ventilators and advanced supports per unit protocols
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with families during stressful moments
• Document care accurately and support handoffs to ensure continuity and safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required (state-specific requirements apply)
• 2+ years of PICU nursing experience (as stated in the posting)
• Current BLS required; PALS and ACLS certification preferred or obtainable
• Comfort with pediatric critical care equipment, ventilator management, and infusions
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to thrive in high-acuity settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric critical care assessment and intervention
• Ventilator/airway management and advanced monitoring
• Medication administration in high-acuity pediatric patients
• Family-centered communication and crisis de-escalation
• Electronic medical record documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration
