Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures with accuracy and attention to patient safety
• Operate and maintain radiology and nuclear medicine imaging equipment
• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and ensure proper handling and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to obtain diagnostic-quality images
• Monitor patients during procedures and provide compassionate patient care
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standards
• Document procedures, results, and patient interactions in the medical record

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience (as listed in job details)
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or equivalent) or ARRT(N) certification preferred
• Current state licensure (as required by North Carolina) or ability to obtain licensure
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated experience with radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hospital setting

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program (Associate degree or higher)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiopharmaceutical preparation
• Familiarity with PACS and imaging documentation systems
• Strong patient care and assessment skills
• Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and maintain quality control
• Time management skills to handle a busy imaging schedule
