Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care by assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor and report resident condition changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
• Support mealtime, hygiene, and comfort needs while promoting resident dignity
• Work as a team member to maintain a calm, safe, and therapeutic environment
• Follow infection control policies and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification — NH license preferred or eligible to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and facility onboarding requirements
• Comfort working nights and fulfilling an every-other-weekend schedule
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program and state LNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident care skills and familiarity with ADLs
• Good communication and teamwork — keep residents and families informed
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Reliable, compassionate, and attentive to resident needs
