Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting while preserving dignity and independence
• Measure and record vital signs and other observations accurately and promptly
• Document resident care and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Promote a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear, kind communication
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification as required for Vermont or New Hampshire assignments
• Active CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
• Reliable, professional and able to pass background and health screening
• Comfortable working in long term care or skilled nursing settings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program and current LNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and personal care techniques
• Basic clinical observation: vital signs, skin integrity, nutrition/hydration monitoring
• Accurate charting and documentation practices
• Infection prevention and safe handling protocols
• Effective, compassionate communication with residents, families and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
