Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to acquire high-quality images of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremities
• Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate patient care from neonatal through geriatric populations
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and the Director of Radiology to follow imaging protocols and optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure radiation safety and perform routine quality control on imaging equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using Meditech and other computer applications
• Support cross-training efforts in other imaging modalities to broaden service offerings
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families and clinical teams

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Medical Association–approved school of Radiologic Technology (required)
• Registered in radiography (required)
• NH state license or compact license — license must be in-hand at time of upload (facility will not pend license)
• BLS certification (required)
• Certification in Computed Tomography (highly preferred)
• Training and/or experience imaging neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, and willingness to cross-train
• Familiarity with computer applications; Meditech experience preferred
• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team

Education

• Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered in radiography

Knowledge & Skills

• CT scanner operation and radiation safety practices
• Radiographic techniques and image acquisition for head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremities
• Patient positioning and compassionate patient interaction across all ages
• Proficiency with computer applications and electronic medical records (Meditech preferred)
• Technical aptitude with willingness to learn new software and workflows
• Effective communication, teamwork and the ability to work independently when needed
• Openness to cross-training in additional imaging modalities
