Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to neuro telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrating drips like Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex cases including CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
• Perform admission assessments, develop care plans, and educate patients and families
• Maintain a safe environment, ensuring sterile field during procedures like foley insertion and central line dressing changes
• Document accurately in Cerner and participate in bedside shift reports
• Float to tele units or tele overflow in ICU as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent neuro telemetry or telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and titration of cardiac drips
• Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and ability to titrate complex drips
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable with fast-paced, high-turnover unit
• Knowledge of sterile technique and central line care
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments
