Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times (7:30 AM - 11:00 AM), primarily 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call 1 night every 6 weeks; 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to PACU patients recovering from surgery
Monitor patients in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery, ensuring safe transitions
Collaborate with the surgical team to manage post-operative pain and complications
Recover ICU-level patients in the PACU as needed
Interpret cardiac strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Float to other units as required to support hospital needs

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Minimum of 1-2 years of ED or ICU experience required
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Ability to work variable shifts and take on-call rotations

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in post-anesthesia care and recovery nursing
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficient in cardiac monitoring and strip interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
