Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: Canon City, CO
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 01-04-2027
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional physical therapy services to a diverse outpatient orthopedic population
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using 45-minute 1:1 sessions
- Manage a caseload of 9 patients per day with emphasis on evaluation and recurring care
- Collaborate with a supportive team including PTAs and rehab aides in a community outpatient setting
- Maintain thorough documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Physical Therapy license or Compact privilege
- Current BLS certification through AHA
- At least 1 year of recent outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills
- Ability to start by July 6, 2026 and commit to a 26-week assignment
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in outpatient orthopedic evaluation and treatment
- Proficiency with 1:1 patient care and time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
