Shift Type: 36 hours per week, flexible scheduling with on-call rotations; 2-3 calls per 6-week schedule, 20-minute trauma response time

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care for a wide range of surgical specialties including neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gyn, urology, ENT, and robotics
Assist in scrubbing and circulating for 30-40 cases per day across 11 operating suites
Collaborate with a dedicated team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure safe and efficient patient outcomes
Respond to traumas within 20 minutes and maintain a calm, focused presence in high-pressure situations
Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and patient tracking
Participate in call rotation and contribute to a culture of excellence

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
Proven experience in trauma and robotics (DaVinci) surgeries
Must be proficient in scrubbing and circulating
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with Epic EMR
COVID-19 vaccination required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of surgical aseptic technique
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced OR environment
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in emergent situations
