Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with rotating call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
Operate GE nuclear medicine equipment with proficiency
Ensure patient safety and adherence to radiation safety protocols
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for accurate imaging
Maintain accurate records in Radnet and Merge Unity systems

Qualifications

Valid California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (CA NMTL)
Current BLS certification
At least 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine
Ability to float to Mercy Downtown as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in GE nuclear medicine equipment
Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR
Knowledge of cardiac, SPECT, bone, and GI imaging studies
Comfortable with on-call and weekend rotations
