Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and other medical-surgical telemetry conditions
Monitor telemetry strips and recognize arrhythmias, escalating as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to all med/surg units as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Administer medications, titrate drips as appropriate, and manage complex patient care plans

Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas (or compact state)
Great communication and time management skills
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen patients preferred
Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
