Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for cardiac and vascular patients, including downgraded CVICU patients
Monitor and titrate advanced cardiac drips such as amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, epinephrine, and cardizem
Manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, atrial fibrillation, CVA, and post-cath lab procedures
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists and cardiologists
Interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring strips
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience with CVU or intermediate care patient population
Driver's license required for submittal
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Skill in titration of cardiac drips and blood pressure management
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
Familiarity with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula respiratory equipment
