Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with every other weekend requirement

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients in a mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions (preferred but not required)
Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding and focus on patient experience and safety
Float to other med/surg and PCU units as needed within same level of care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certified preferred
EPIC experience desired but not required
Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) and ventilator management
Ability to titrate common drips (heparin, cardizem, protonix)
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
