Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays, 12-hour shifts, schedule released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, bariatrics, ortho, trauma, and ED observation
Float across multiple facilities within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) as assigned
Titrate heparin drips as needed and manage med-surg telemetry patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient acuities
Serve as a charge nurse when necessary, supporting team members

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience required
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Must be willing to float across a 60-mile radius zone (no home base facility)
Prior neuro experience preferred
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
Proficiency in cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical care
Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuities (1:5-6 ratio)
Excellent communication and adaptability for floating
Competency in heparin drip titration
Knowledge of BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS protocols
