Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients using the nutrition care process
• Develop and implement personalized medical nutrition therapy plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Participate in performance improvement projects to enhance quality of care

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Maryland required
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) or Registration Eligible (RDE) with CDR required
• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD)
• Minimum one year of acute care experience preferred
• Valid BLS certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team

Education

• Bachelor's degree or verification statement from Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirming completion of DPD requirements
• Active status as Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), or Registration Eligible (RDE)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in nutrition assessment and medical nutrition therapy
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong patient education and counseling skills
• Experience in acute care settings preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
