Shift Type: Night shift, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM (12-hour shifts). Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with weekend rotation (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Float seamlessly across multiple hospitals within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) to provide exceptional nursing care
• Manage a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, and post-surgical cases on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Titrate heparin drips and monitor telemetry patients with close attention to acuity
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient ratios and outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient needs, stepping into new assignments with confidence

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Neuro experience strongly preferred; willingness to float across various acuity levels
• Ability to reside outside a 60-mile radius from all facilities in Zone 1

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical nursing and cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency in managing heparin infusions and recognizing arrhythmias
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in different hospital environments and units
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for floating across multiple care teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced float pool setting
