Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments and provide medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process
Deliver individualized nutrition care to patients within scope of practice per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and participate in Performance Improvement projects
Provide nutrition education to patients, families, medical and non-medical staff, and the community
Support the mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital

Qualifications

Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Maryland (required)
Active Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), or Registered Dietitian Eligible (RDE) with CDR
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred
Ability to read, speak, and write English with understanding

Education

Bachelor's degree or verification statement from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirming completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication skills to interact positively with physicians, patients, families, and staff
Ability to handle confidential information and situations
Knowledge of nutrition care process and medical nutrition therapy
Understanding of performance improvement and interdisciplinary collaboration
