Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 or 1830-0700, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and manage patients with cardiac, nephrology, and stroke diagnoses
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Proficiency in cardiac drip titration and monitoring
Experience with stroke and seizure management
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
