Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including every other weekend, holidays (1 major, 1 minor), and rotating on-call with 30-minute response time, 40 hours per week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray and MRI scans of brain, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment and utilize Radnet & Merge Unity PACS
Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to provide high-quality images
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain accurate patient records
Float to Mercy Southwest location (approx 6.5 miles) as needed

Qualifications

Valid ARRT certification in Radiography required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Ability to start IVs preferred but not required
Experience with GE and Toshiba equipment and Radnet/Merge Unity PACS preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in a variety of imaging procedures including MRI and X-ray
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance
