Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update care plans
Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management
Float between Mercy Main and West Des Moines as needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Current NIHSS certification
Minimum 1-2 years of recent med/surg or telemetry experience preferred
Willingness to float between two facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs
