Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Days or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Nights, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU/MedSurg environment
Administer chemotherapy and monitor titratable drips such as heparin and cardizem
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC electronic health record

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology or MedSurg experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Willingness to float to same-level units
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Experience with Alaris IV pumps
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and safe handling
Competency in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) - can be trained
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and cultural backgrounds
