Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, every other weekend and every other holiday

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT scans on patients of all ages following physician orders
Position patients accurately and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting minor issues as needed
Assist radiologists with advanced imaging procedures and contrast administration
Document patient history and scan details accurately in the medical record
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards

Qualifications

Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Valid Iowa radiologic technologist license or ARRT certification (CT)
Minimum 1 year of recent CT experience preferred
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cross-sectional anatomy and CT protocols
Skilled in patient positioning and radiation dose optimization
Familiar with PACS and electronic medical records
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
