Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Flexible day shifts with mandatory on-call: weeknight call Monday-Friday 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, weekend 24-hour call 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM, holiday 24-hour call. 40 hours per week.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform surgical technologist duties in a fast-paced OR environment including general orthopedics, robotic, bariatric, urology, GYN, and plastic surgery cases
Assist with DaVinci robotic cases and total joint surgeries independently
Prepare and maintain sterile field and instruments
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure efficient case flow
Respond to on-call coverage within 30 minutes as needed
Handle call outs and shift changes with flexibility and dependability

Qualifications

Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment
Flexible and dependable to cover call outs and switch shifts as needed
Ability to work independently on DaVinci robotic cases and total joints
Two supervisor references within the last 12 months and within 3 years (charge accepted)
Not employed by CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year
Certification not required but preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Sterile technique and surgical instrument handling
Robotic surgery assistance (DaVinci)
Total joint procedures
OR equipment preparation and maintenance
Call response protocol and time management
