Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care for patients undergoing lithotripsy procedures in the PACU
Recover patients from general anesthesia and monitor vital signs post-procedure
Administer moderate sedation and ensure patient safety throughout
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict adherence to sterile field
Collaborate with the surgical team to manage 3-15 cases per day
Float to the General OR as needed and assist with patient turnover

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Proven experience with recovery of general anesthesia and moderate sedation
Competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Understanding and maintenance of sterile field
Urology experience preferred
Must have natural hair color, no facial piercings; men must be clean-shaven for fit test
Ability to pass SIMs Lab on day 1

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) certifications
Strong knowledge of lithotripsy and endoscopic urologic procedures
Expertise in sterile technique and infection control
Excellent critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills
