Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (days) or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), every other weekend, self-scheduling option

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a progressive care unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for reactions
Manage ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Titrate and manage drips including heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Float to Med/Surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining same level of care
Document thoroughly in EPIC and ensure patient safety through hourly rounding

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska
Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC oncology certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification required
Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required (to verify 50-mile radius rule)
Must not be employed (full/part/PRN) with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Strong hemodynamic monitoring skills (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Ventilator management and drip titration (heparin, cardizem, insulin)
Patient education and compassionate communication with diverse populations
Teamwork and willingness to help others
