Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with rotating call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, and gastric emptying studies
Operate GE imaging equipment and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort
Rotate call duties including weekday evenings and weekends to provide continuous coverage
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver accurate results

Qualifications

Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
Minimum 2 years of recent nuclear medicine technologist experience
Proficiency in cardiac imaging, SPECT, and general nuclear medicine procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with GE nuclear medicine cameras
Proficient in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR systems
Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
Excellent patient communication and care skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
