Location: Centennial, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends (6-9 weekends per 6-week schedule), and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to a diverse PCU/IMC patient population across multiple facilities in Zone 1
Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin with confidence
Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, and other regional hospitals as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to different units and patient acuities, from cardiac to neuro to ortho

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC nursing experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Must be comfortable titrating cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile zone covering Colorado Springs and surrounding areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong PCU/IMC clinical skills including cardiac monitoring and drip management
Experience with insulin administration and ativan titration
Familiarity with Epic charting system
Excellent communication and adaptability for fast-paced float pool environment
Knowledge of multiple patient populations: cardiac, neuro, oncology, surgical, and more
