Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to adult patients on a 40-bed PCU with a focus on cardiac, med-surg, dialysis, and stroke care
Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, manage arterial lines, and support high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and exceptional patient experience
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to take PCU acuity patients

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in arterial lines and drip titration
Valid driver's license for distance verification
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac care and telemetry interpretation
Drip titration and management of vasoactive medications
Arterial line management
High-flow oxygen therapy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Focus on patient experience and responsiveness
